This is week 18 of Design Challenges and for this week I was given the objective of creating the flow of a form. I thought this could be fun so I did a high resolution of an onboarding for an application. The company is made up as well as the logo but feel free to use it if you like it. I started off with thinking about all the sign-up forms I have filled out over the years and the fields that are so important to creating an account for someone (Full Name, Email, Password and then a Confirm Password). I even gave the users the options of signing up using facebook, google+ and their apple id. After the user fills in the required fields they are taken to another screen that allows them to choose their interests. Since this is a learning/having fun application the interests vary but these interests are what allow the user to customize the application experience. Should I have added a field to search for more interests? Maybe. Will that be incorporated into the next iteration? Probably. But what I wanted to focus on for this challenge was making things look pretty and function. You can see the finished onboarding portion of the application in video format below.
